Air Supply is a popular Australian music group in the early '80s, with 5 hit songs. Their popularity over the radio has made them to be great artist. The core members of the group were originally lead by duo vocalist, Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell, then the other members joined in the following year but only supporting or as backing vocals.

In 1976, Hitchcock and Russell met while performing in Sydney, Australia. The two singers formed the band by adding four other musicians: Frank Esler-Smith keyboard player, guitarist David Moyse, David Green as bassist, and drummer filled by Ralph Cooper. They formed Air Supply.

For several years Air Supply has received no attention from outside Australia. Their first international exposure came in the late 70s as an opening act on a North American tour. In 1980 Air Supply released their first album as well as signed a record deal with Arista. Lost in Love was their debut that became a huge success in the United States and has sold over two million copies.

Air Supply released Greatest Hits collection in 1983, featuring a new single, "Making Love Out of Nothing at All." The single spent two weeks at number two, while the album peaked at number seven and eventually sold over four million copies
